orbitscreen

Every object in the public satellite catalog, moving in real time. Positions come from SGP4, written from scratch in Go. On the public site, that Go code runs in your browser, compiled to WebAssembly.

The project's main job is screening: finding every pair of objects that will pass within 5 km of each other.

Its sister project, satnogs-pipeline, listens to five small satellites and checks their batteries against sunlight and the Earth's shadow. Search for UWE-4, CatSat, SNUGLITE, Sharjahsat-1 or GRBBeta to see theirs here.

Open Close approaches for the next 24 hours, click any dot, or search by name. Drag to turn the globe; scroll to zoom out to the geostationary ring. Keys: / search, Space pause, Esc clear.

Earth images on the globe: NASA Earth Observatory (Blue Marble and Black Marble).

These are screening results from public orbit data, accurate to about a kilometre: worth a closer look, not collision predictions.
